Mocking Solemnity, Death Becomes You, and For Whom the Bell Tolls are great. SUNN O))) certainly don't do cover versions in the way other bands do, for sure! I wonder what Cliff Burton would have thought of it...? The four collaborations with Masami Akita/Merzbow aren't my thing, but if you are into it then you can find further collaboration on CroMonolithic Remixes for an Iron Age. "Time marches on..."

All I can really say is THANK YOU Dylan & co. for bringing new,amazing,dense,deep and interesting music into my life.I first heard about Earth through listening to Mark Lanegan 's book "Sing Backwards and Weep",the mention from Mark and also learning of he and Dylan's closely honed friendship and brotherhood of many years peaked my interest and I knew eventually I'd be embarking on this journey of interdimensional sound."Primitive and Deadly" is a masterpiece!!!!!

"Recorded during SUNN O)))s European tour 2005, culminating at Roskilde Festival, Denmark" : laissez-moi vous dire qu'il n'y a pas que cette tournée qui arrive à son point culminant mais aussi Sunn O))) d'un point de vue général car Solstitium Fulminate, qui sert d'appendice à Black One, est un monument qui conjugue noirceur vampirique avec une certaine forme d'absolu. Le ton musical plonge très vite dans les graves pour nous faire entrer dans le royaume de la mort. Attila Csihar est un Charon.

Si le message n'était pas assez clair dans Hibernaculum, Earth en remet une couche dans The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull : le lion qui pouvait neutraliser les dieux avec sa mâchoire est mort, réduit à l'état de squelette. Malgré tout, une nouvelle forme de vie est possible grâce à lui et c'est tout l'enjeu de cet album. L'americana prend une place plus importante et de nouveaux instruments se rajoutent, faisant de ce drone une expérience de liberté incomparable — surtout en randonnée.
